The Big Idea:
Authors use people, events, and ideas from their own lives when creating their works.
Writers usually use their own life's experiences to inspire the settings, characters and problems in their work. Your first goal is to research your assigned author. Ask yourself questions like: What is your author like in real life? What does he or she love to do in their free time? Did the author have any life events that seem interesting?
Learning Targets:

can:

3. Take good notes and organize my information into a chart.
